Art and Viewer Participation Brain Connection
Marketing strategists have used similar understandings to lure consumers to their products. For me, this scientific research discovery takes my view of my art from "I like it, will anyone else?" to the level of having more control over how it will be received and understood by viewers.
To take it a step further, this research validates my belief that we teach "facts" such as multiplication tables in a way that does not work with how the brain permanently records information; but that would be conversation for a different blog.
