Inspired Gardens

Monet spent almost 40 years planting and painting his gardens. I've spent about 25, replanting and admiring mine.

My latest small pollinator garden will be an inspirational subject to paint. It is beginning to bloom with Goldflame Honeysuckle for the moths and hummingbirds, Spirea for many other pollinators, and milkweed (just rising above the surface of the soil) for the Monarch butterfly population.

Two hummingbird feeders hanging strategically, but only fruit-flies inside the syrup as takers. Patience and new syrrup.

Eyeball Roll - I just learned that Marigolds are a fave of our neighborhood rabbits and invasive snails. I now call them Merry-gones.

Next week I will be participating in the two Sandy Maudlin workshops and then I am back in my studio again.

Be inspired.
And as always I implore you to share here.
