Teaching Connections to Nature Through Art (AKA Eco-Art)

It is my privilege to spend time with children during a forest summer camp that banks along an amazing wild river in our area. During my time with them I hope they will gleen another piece of their lifelong appreciation for their connection to nature. These children live in a rich natural environment so we will begin our discussions about our forest neighbors while making critters from empty toilet paper tubes. They will have the options of creating something using realistic colors or they can create something imaginative. It is time of connecting in a personal way.
